Hello everyone.

First of all, Chris I admire your work and dedication to the Time Lapse field. A big fan!

Looking to DIY a ChronosProject Lite systems from scratch and was looking for the rail parts from Igus.

Noticed that they've started marketing targeted 'slider' products to photographers given its popularity of late.

I am interested if you guys have ordered, used or reviewed their new 'reduced weight' model:

DryLin® W double rail, reduced weight:

http://www.igus.com.au/wpck/7189/DryLin_W__Doppelschiene_gewichtsreduziert

From their website:
DryLin® W guide rails made of aluminum with a significantly reduced dead weight through machined recesses. Standard length from stock. Matching housing bearing and carriage made of plastic, aluminum, zinc die cast or stainless steel.

Really interested in hearing your thoughts and I've anyone has build/ordered one of these things from Australia (Brisbane preferably) let me know!

Thank you!

That is the original rail i wanted to go with, however for some reason they are not for sale in the US and would have to be imported from Europe, at least that was the situation when we first started looking into building an ultra light system.

I'd really like to see somebody try that rail out!
