Post My Chronos Build

Hey guys,
I figured I'd be the first to post in this forum with my Chronos build. I started looking into DIY sliders in the fall, set on making one with a motor winding up string to pull a drawer slide closed. After seeing that my "cheap" option was still going to cost close to 100 bucks, I decided to do it right the first time.

I bought all the parts off of Chris's list, had a buddy machine parts for me, and watched a load of videos on Youtube about soldering. The build process went well; the control box took a lot of time and a few adjustments, but it works wonderfully now.

Here is a timelapse video I put together:

In short, Project Chronos is an awesome slider with some fantastic features.

This is great. I have seen your photos on the Chronos FB page and they look beautiful. I'm about to build a copy of Chronos myself right now resp. still waiting for some parts. Posting on my blog as soon as I got any news...

Sweet! Post a thread when you get start and keep us updated on your process. I had no experience with soldering before this, so it was really intimidating, but very satisfying to build.

Sure! I've put together a complete parts liste for us European (esp. Swiss) guys and some info on my project. All online on http://fabians.ch/articles. I've done some soldering etc before, though my knowledge of the whole electronics is quite limited still and also I'm not the most-experienced DIY'er either.
