Post My Chronos 2 Builds - Tiddler

Well I basically finished my Chronos2 project builds that I basically started a year ago. I built a 2m and a 1m rail. I've attached pictures of the completed projects.

I did a couple of things different with my rails.
- I use a 3/8-20 screw rather than the 1/4-20 rod. In pictures that I saw of others with the long rails the 1/4-20 rod really sagged, so I decided that I wanted to go with the beefier 3/8 rod. I still have one issue to resolve. I'm getting motor stalling with my short rail because something isn't exactly centered as the carriage gets close to the motor. I think I'm going to have to disassemble my carriages and design in a floating block for the mounting of the carriage threaded holder to account for slight centricity alignment issues since the motor is set on fixed mounting holes.

- on my control boxes you can see the additional push button switch that I installed for the display disconnects.

It's been a fun and interesting project.
